Escalating a court order when needed

In the event that Corbital have obtained a judgment to secure your debt and the debtor is failing to pay as per the order from the courts we are able to turn to our enforcement team for assistance.

Our regulated and authorised enforcement team are able to visit your debtor at residential and commercial properties. It is seen to be a highly effective option when collecting outstanding debts.

The team is made up of both High Court Enforcement Officers and Certificated Enforcement Agents.

Upon enforcement being successful in the recovery of our clients debt the cost to our client is free as the costs are collected from the debtor.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost for enforcement?

With a judgment obtained it will cost our clients £228 to refer a case to the enforcement team. This fee is made up of the court fee (currently £66.00) to have the judgmenet converted into a High Court Writ and a representation fee of £135+VAT.

Upon payment of the enforcement fees Corbital will handle all paperwork, convert the judgment and instruct the enforcement team and manage the case thereafter.

When will your enforcement team visit?

Our enforcement agents visit outside normal working hours. They operate seven days a week between 06:00 and 21:00 to catch your debtor in.

Can I add my costs to the debt?

Yes - we are able to add the representation fee (£75 +VAT) to the debt for you at the point of referral 

What happens next?

After payment of the enforcement fees the case and all supporting paperwork are uploaded to the court who will transfer up to the High Court and return a Writ of Control to Quality Bailiffs. This takes approximately 14 days, but may be longer.

When returned we will issue a Notice of Enforcement which gives the debtor approximately 14 days to pay (including postage time).

If the debt is not paid the Writ of Control is passed to one of our local Certificated Enforcement Agents

The Certificated Enforcement Agent is part of an experienced national team able to enforce by taking control of the goods of the debtor.

The team will aim to recover your debt, interest on the debt, and all court costs and the fees of the Enforcement Agent which will be added to the debt if they are successful.

You will be kept informed as actions are taken by Corbital directly.
